Final Project – Matt Gioia – Twitbook

April 23, 2010

With the event of the Facebook live feed I was one of the first people to start calling Facebook Twitbook or Twitterbook because it was obvious they copied Twitter. So now that there are two sites doing the exact same thing, why not create a site to consolodate these feeds so you don’t have to visit both? That is what my Twitbook project attempts to do.

With Twitter’s OAuth protocol and Facebook’s remote authentication, the user never gives their account username and password to the application, but yet it is able to get all the user’s information necessary to make the feed.
